Trekking to Chinaga Betta near Bangalore

Imagine having a tiring week at work in Bangalore and then watching this sunrise from the top of a mountain - just an hour away from the city?

Ain't it refreshing already? Skandagiri is notoriously popular for its sunrise treks and fairly so.

The hike:

Difficulty level: Medium.

It takes ~2 hours of uphill hiking to reach the mountain top -- it's really easy peasy as you walk along with a bunch of friends. If you begin the hike before sunrise, then it's best to carry the torch or use your phone's light.

It's mostly a walk along the trail - just follow that or other people around you and it's really hard to get lost here.

Preparation: Here's the checklist to be prepared.

Highly recommended: water bottle, full pants and sports/trekking shoes.
Good-to-have: Sunscreen, chocolates/fruits, umbrella, cap, jacket.
Additional: ODOMOS (if you have sensitive skin), anything else you've needed on treks in past.
